I am running into an odd behavior with MythTV v0.21 on Gentoo.

When I resume playback of a recording there is a long delay and black screen while the recording locates the saved bookmark position.
The hard drive goes active during the time the bookmark is being located.
The delay seems to be proportional to the time position of the bookmark (ie. a bookmark near the beginning of the recording has a shorter delay than one near the end of the recording). The time seems to mirror the delay that a FFWD might take to access a specific point in the recording.

Also, it appears to me that FFWD is slower than it used to be.

Other than this I have no issues playing back recordings.

One item that may be related, although I can't see quite how is that I recently had to re-install the computer into a new case (power supply in the old case went bad). Same motherboard/cpu/memory/hard disk etc. and no configuration changes that I can recall.

Anyone have any ideas on what could be happening?
